Antonio La Spina (*1991) is a composer and a pianist.
Studied piano in Italy, obtaining Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees cum laude at the Conservatorio Luigi Canepa in Sassari (2013, 2016).
Completed Master’s studies in Composition at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Den Haag and the HfMDK Frankfurt am Main.
Endured a Postgraduate Degree in Applied Composition at ESML, Lisbon (2024).
Survived the Cursus de Composition et d’Informatique Musicale at IRCAM, Paris (2024–25).
Has been the composer of the Internationale Ensemble Modern Akademie (IEMA) in 2020-21.
Prize winner in Acht Brücken and Valentino Bucchi composition competitions.
Performed by Divertimento Ensemble, Ensemble Recherche, Quartetto Prometeo, New European Ensemble, Barcelona Modern, IEMA, GAME, Érma, Aleph Gitarrenquartett, Soundinitiative, Riccardo Acciarino, Kathrin Klein, Jaume Darbra Fa, Paolo Ravaglia, Alex Waite and Maria Grazia Bellocchio.
