This piece opens a cycle of works for piano, an instrument with which I share a physical relationship, which I can consider as an extension of my fingers — both the prolongation and the limit of my imagination — allowing me to touch sound.

Here, sound emerges instead from the absence of contact, as if it were being evoked in a ritual of attunement.

It is an act of love, an exploration of a further dimension of intimacy between myself and the instrument I grew up with, in an attempt to define a secret language that belongs only to me and to it.

The piano asks, the piano answers. The sound of the piano is the sound from the piano.
